Is Reiki Right for Your and your Pet?

Reiki therapy helps to promote one's natural immune response and works on all levels of "being" -  physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Reiki is a wonderful complement to you and your animal's health and wellness program, since it works safely with all other forms of healing, both allopathic and holistic.

Hands-On Reiki for animals does not necessarily mean laying on of the hands, but it does mean being in the presence of the animal. Some animals don’t like to be touched or have people they don’t know invade their personal space. Reiki can be beamed to the animal, the animal can enter into the Reiki Space the practitioner has made available and at some point, the animal may show the area that they would like the practitioner’s hands to be placed upon.

It’s all about freedom of choice. It also means that Reiki can be beamed into a cage, a stable or from a safe distance until the animal feels comfortable. Animals usually relax quite quickly and some even show signs of the Reiki working through them, such as a “Reiki Yawn”, a joint twitching, deep relaxation that they don’t even notice when the session ends and the practitioner moves away.

Oakville Reiki and Animal Reiki offer traditional Japanese therapy to balance and restore energy to help one's wellness journey. It provides customized treatments based on your needs and can integrate canine massage, aromatherapy, and expertise in music for holistic therapy. In-home visits are available for animal reiki services.
